Architectural Technologist – Bench with diamond back brace

I was passing a small corner of a walled garden, and saw this bench, well it was a pair of bench’s side by side, I stood there for a while looking at the two bench’s and realsed that there was something wrong with the design, it did not look right or for that mater feel right, as I sat on the bench looking over the garden. And it was the feel I realised that was wrong, leaning back there was no lumbar support, each one of the diamonds formed by the bracing, added nothing to the support my back needed. I like the end posts, the seat itself, the very nice arms, but the back just did not work.
