Its with some sadness that I read in the local regional committee that the I&R committee has been disbanded. I ran this committee for a long time and pulled out to allow new younger members to have a go and breath new life into the executive. So I am particularly sadden to see its demise.
It was always a difficult committee to run, not wanting not to promote a particular technology for fear of giving CIAT sanction, so we tended to promote and develop links to the universities for their research and innovation work, helping students to promote there learning and development.
So what happens now, I think I will wait until the next regional committee meet next week and learn just what happened. I would not like to see the I&R theme disappear perhaps it can resurface in another form. Currently its in the hands of Technical.
Is there any CPD here, no, but you should keep an iterest in CIAT its your association not happy, then tweet or blog it.
