Chamfering Polylines and Polyline Segments

Trimming Chamfered Objects

By default, objects are trimmed when chamfered, but you can use the Trim option to specify that they remain untrimmed.

To chamfer without trimming

From the Modify menu, choose Chamfer.
Enter t (Trim).
Enter n (No Trim).
Select the first line and then the second line.

The chamfered object is untrimmed.
