I think its important to keep up with as many CAD programs as possible, not in the sence that we need to draw proficiently in them, but just keep an eye on them, see whats big, view them from affar maybe, but keep watch. So I read all I can find, and this morning  I found an excellent article in the upFront eZine, looking at Russia, were they are touring around looking at all things CAD. In the fiirst article they interview a company called Ascon who sell their own program Kompas. The article is not about the way Kompas, draws but the way Ascom developed over the years, and how Kompas is sold in Russia. and the strategy, very interesting read and worth the 1/2 I spent following up with Google.

I could not find the article on their site just an overview of the Russian tour and what they hoped to achieve, the article its self is to long to put here, so if any one wants a copy, contact me and I’ll forward, or simply subscribe to their eZine
